For those of you who don’t know me, I’m sort of a sucker for sentiment. So, when Yda told me that she wanted to incorporate some pieces of her mother’s wedding dress into her own, I was sold.

We removed the lace trimming from her mother’s veil, and applied it around Yda’s neckline, arm holes (isn’t there a prettier word!!) and veil. The rest of the dress was fashioned from a blush pink bridal taffeta, with an embroidered lace bodice and full Italian tulle skirt.

I think the end result was beautiful! And the lace we gathered from her mom’s gown, a gorgeous (and touching) enhancement.

Yda wrote me the most heartfelt thank you letter wherein she states that she felt like a princess and the most beautiful bride. And I have to say Yda, I totally agree.

You can read some of it here.
