One life is all we have and we live it as we believe in living it. But to sacrifice what you are and to live without belief, that is a fate more terrible than dying.

I won’t blame you if you cite the original author of this quote to be Janneke, when in fact it was the bold and the beautiful, Joan of Arc. Although I’m obviously not personally acquainted with Joan, I believe these two ladies share some attributes. I’m almost sure that those who know Janneke will agree that she’s dynamite. A world-changer. Her cup runneth over, spilling passion and purpose – an infectious duo that inspire others into action. An eco-warrior, she recently opened Shop Zero, a zero waste, plastic-free lifestyle store in Woodstock. This huge undertaking speaks volumes of her character: Her courage to pave a new path. Her conviction to lead. And her unfailing faith in our ability to change the world.

Self-assured, Janneke knows exactly what she wants from life. And her dress was no exception.

The first part of her two-piece gown consisted of a short beaded lace dress with a nude mesh top and a racer neckline, detailed with gorgeous lace applique and a keyhole back. Over this she wore a second piece: a lovely long silk chiffon skirt with a sensual slit to the side. The look was finished with a classic long veil.

Janneke looked absolutely stunning – a beautiful blend of subtle sexiness and sophistication.
