Designing this dress was such a special experience. Mariette and I have been the best of friends since childhood and she’s incredibly dear to my heart! She is one of the most stylish woman I know and it was a huge honour to make her wedding gown.
Her tea-length dress in dove grey Duchess satin was layered with soft white veiling and lace. Fabricated buttons adorned the back of her strapless, sweetheart bodice and a satin belt with a cute bow accentuated her waist. Fun and lighthearted, this dress mirrored Mariette’s bubbly personality perfectly.
Mariette, you are such a beautiful person – inside and out! You’re sincere, humble and you radiate an abundance of positive energy! I wish you and De Villiers a beautiful life together – filled with laughter, light and most of all…love.
