I was super excited when Margot approached me to design her wedding gown. We share a very special mutual friend (that’s you Lize de Jongh!) and through our other reciprocal relationships and Facebook feeds, I experienced her to be outgoing and kind, with an infectious love for life.

And was I right. It was like meeting an old friend and sharing this journey with her wasn’t only a priveledge, but also a huge pleasure that I will always treasure.

She knew exactly what she wanted from the get-go: A figure hugging blush pink and ivory gown with a lace bodice and full tulle skirt. Within a few minutes of our first consultation I had sketched her design and that was it. She was 100% happy.

For the bodice we used a meld of ivory beaded lace and a soft Chantilly. The skirt was fashioned from layers and layers and layers and layers of ivory tulle, that extended into a lingering train.

As the adage goes, a picture is worth a thousand words…So before I start rambling on about how absolutely beautiful this bride was…why don’t have a look at her gorgeous wedding photos and video below…

Later!
