Katie

Katie Giddy. Her first name, an Irish derivative, means pure. Her surname is synonymous with lightheartedness. Pure lightheartedness. Beautiful…and so befitting. In total contrast to my long-haul hangover, Katie, an inflight manager and trainer for Emirates Airlines, would arrive at my studio, suitcase still in hand from her international travels, looking absolutely flawless and in high spirits. Katie is so efficacious and effervescent and her dynamic disposition always left me feeling so inspired: If Katie can do it, so can I!

Katie had a very definite idea for her dream dress. She wanted something striking with simple lines.

Her gown was fashioned from the most beautiful warm blush/gold Silk Duchess Satin. The low V-neck bodice was detailed with pleats and gave way to a full circle pleated skirt with pockets. A wide waistband with pin tucks made for a striking feature. She finished the look with a classic long veil with a broad lace border.
